A beautiful antique hand-carved wooden box likely made Mexico, featuring substantial geometric and architectural carving throughout. The front is composed of deeply recessed panels framed by repeating hand-carved details, while the lid continues the geometric motif with raised moldings and decorative accents. Features hand forged iron hearts on the end with turned iron handles.
The warm natural wood and subtle irregularities of the carving highlight the piece's handmade construction and traditional craftsmanship. Its low rectangular form makes it equally appealing as a functional keepsake box or as a sculptural decorative object.
A distinctive piece of Mexican folk craftsmanship, perfect for storing jewelry, letters, photographs, or small treasures while adding warmth and texture to a tabletop, bookshelf, or collected interior.
